House of Lasagna

Since Spot.ph rated their lasagnas as one of the best, then i must try it! :)

I  visited their new branch in Centris Eton, the place was cozy and quiet. Upon entering, one can already smell rosemary herb. The construction of a new building was bit of a distraction of the view outside.

I ordered their specialty which is Beef Lasagna. My order took 15-20 mins. to arrived even though i was the only customer that time, but it was ok because they served me unlimited garlic bread while waiting for my meal. And the staffs we're very attentive and always offered me more water or bread. The garlic bread, it was cut quite thinly and crispy, just the way i like it.

Beef Lasagna (Php 190-195 (not sure which one! sorry!) )

Beef Lasagna. It was huge! with 5 layers of lasagna pasta. Very cheesy and meaty. The lasagna had very strong flavor of rosemary and thyme. It was very good. I had a hard time finishing my meal because of the big serving.

Next Visit:

This time we ordered their Carbonara Lasagna:

Carbonara Lasagna
Carbonara Lasagna. This one was very creamy. If you love bacon, you'll love this one. It has generous pieces of slice bacon. It was too rich that i felt a little "suya" after some time.

Garlic Bread

I have to try their desserts next time, they have cheesecakes. :)

If you want value for your money and a good lasagna. Come visit this place. :)

Ted's Oldtimer La Paz Batchoy

I saw this one episode of Poptalk on Newstv where they rated 3 Best la paz batchoy in Manila. Ted's Old Timer won, so I went and gave it a try.

Extra Super (Php 88)

They have branches at Megamall, SM Makati Foodcourt and Ali Mall in Cubao. It was served in a big bowl, enough for sharing if you don't have a big appetite, generous amount of pork strips, liver and isaw. Topped chicharon. It was very tasty, not salty but full of flavor and a bit sweet. and you can ask for extra soup. Wow! It was available in Special, Super Special (Php 86) and Extra Special (Php 88).

It's super sulit for 88 pesos. This has become our favorite la paz batchoy. :)

The Stock Market

We had a hearty lunch last week at The Stock Market at Bonifacio High Street. I like eating here, the staffs were nice and the ambiance is very cozy.

Here are some pictures of what we ordered:

Seared Ahi Tuna (Php 365)
It's fresh tuna with fruit salsa underneath, served with lemon, wasabi and soy sauce. It was good and the tuna was so fresh.

Cheese and Spinach Ravioli (Php 420)
The flavor was just right. the cheese and spinach ravioli goes well with the sour marinara sauce.

Frutti Di Marri (Php 475)
According to the menu, it's spaghetti pasta with seafoods, tossed in red wine and marinara basil sauce. I love this, the seafoods are so flavorful and the pasta was just right. I can finish this plate all by myself. hehe.

Porky Chops (Php 595)
This one is good for sharing. It's crispy pork stuffed with cheese and bacon, served with mushroom gravy. It's like Pork Cordon Bleu. This was a bit bland for me though, coz i have to put a little salt in it. but it was all good.

English Style Pudding (Php 225)
And last, for dessert, we had english style pudding, it's soft bread filled with raisin, nuts, orange, caramel and cinnamon. the other plate was mango icecream with whipped cream. and extra custard for the pudding. I liked this one, it's not too sweet even with a lot of custard.

We also ordered fresh green salad, which i forgot the name. what special about it is the dressing, its like peanut dressing with something. hehe. and also the Carbonara, nothing really surprised my taste buds with this dish, just the raw egg on top when they served it.

I enjoyed everything!

I was able to take a shot at their menu to give you and idea of foods they offer:

Pepeton's Grill Resto Bar

A few nights ago we had a dinner at Pepeton's Grill. The place has a open music lounge on second floor, a closed function room, a bar and smoke-free airconditioned area. The food was great. I liked everything we ordered.

Crispy Adobong Kambing*
I wasn't able to taste this one, but according to my friends it was good and tender.

Grilled Pusit*
The squid was cooked just right and not rubbery. Nothing special with the taste.

We also ordered Atsarang Ampalaya - uncooked ampalaya with a bit of vinegar and onion. It's still bitter of course..it's raw ampalaya. Hehe. I also ordered some dishes for to go.

Kapalmuks (Crispy Half Ulo) 599 pesos
YUM! YUM! YUM! You guys must try this one. its is so tasty and crispy. Just yum! :)

Crispy Pusit Heads
Nothing fancy just fried pusit heads. hehe.

Tenga Q

The tenga was also good and tender. Sorry I can't remember the price for the dishes we ordered. hehe.
We'll definitely be coming back to this place.

I just had these issue regarding reservation, I called them 3 days prior and a day before to confirm my reservation, but when i got there they told me they are not aware of any reservation under my name. Good thing the place was not full packed that time and we got seats we needed so i didn't make a big fuss about it anymore.

Jun-jun's Cebu Lechon and BBQ

It was my first time to dine here. We're craving for lechon that time. This restaurant is located at 32nd St. The Fort, Global City, just at the back of S&R. Of course, we have to try their lechon.

We ordered a kilo and requested for the belly part. Sadly, we're not given the part that we requested. The lechon skin was so crispy and the meat was tender and flavorful. We're expecting the "sawsawan" to be vinegar, but we're served with light soy sauce instead. An order of a kilo of lechon already includes 4 servings or rice.

We also ordered Sinigang na Isda (i forgot what's the name of the fish!hehe!), Tortang Talong and Stir Fried Kangkong.

The sinigang was also good, but the meat of the fish was hard to chew. The meat of the lechon is even more tender than the fish.

The kangkong tasted like it was stir fried with oyster sauce or something, it was not overcooked. I wasn't able to taste the tortang talong because according to my friends it did not taste that good.

Estero at Ongpin 2!

We just love dining here. The food is good but cheap! We see to it that order a different dish each visit.

Fried Beef (90 pesos)

Mixed Seafood with Vegetables (90 pesos)

Stuff Squid (95 pesos)

Shanghai Rice - Large (165 pesos)

This time, we tried Fried Beef and Stuff Squid. There's nothing very special with the Fried Beef, since it's fried, I'm expecting it to be tough and chewing but I was wrong the meat was so tender.

The Squid is stuffed with Chives, what makes it special is the sauce. It taste like Szechuan.

They also served exotic food like fried legs. We're planning to order that on our next visit!

Chao! :)
